Beautiful, glamorous stars in beautiful, glamourous, one-of-a-kind gowns created by some of the world’s most renowned designers – what more could you ask? This was the Heart Truth’s Annual Red Dress Collection, which just about kicked off New York Fashion Week yesterday morning.
Laura Bush, as ambassador for the Heart Truth Charity, did not walk the catwalk, but watched the show from a front row seat in a white Oscar De la Renta skirt suit wanting to ‘stand out’ from the models a little bit.
However, it was a little difficult to upstage the models – especially Heidi Klum in this skimpy, slashed, little Marc Jacobs number, which she apparently just ‘threw on’ because she was late for the show – if only it was that easy for everyone! Mollie Simms shimmered down the catwalk in 94,000 red swarovski crystals and correspondent Maria Menounos was stunning in Marchesa. Grey’s Anatomy actress, Sara Ramirez shows off her amazing curves to perfection in this gown by Angel Sanchez, which she originally wore in purple to the Screen Actors Guild Awards – of course she managed to persuade Angel to donate the red to this very worthy cause.
