John Rocha had lots of black, wearable A-line shapes in coats jackets and tailoring. Also quilted fabrics, embroidery and embellishments, some bright bright pinks,oranges, blues and red appearing very occasionally – sometimes peeking out under a crocheted top layer. These London designers really do want to see us all in little plant pot hats come autumn… and keep spotting fabric panels on top of transparent vinyl.
Jasper Conran’s collection is pure elegance. Beautifully cut and fitted classic shapes. All kinds of necklines, deep Vs, boat necks, slash necks, bustier. Nipped in and belted waists as well as long line jackets over skinny, stirrup pants. Erin O’Connor was in the audience. Go and look at all the photos its like a little walk through 40s, 50s, and 60s elegance.
