Giles Deacons’s capsule collection of ‘night out on the town’, bright, body conscious clothing and accessories will be appearing in certain New Look Stores around the country. Will try to get the list soon. The collection is inspired by a trip to movie and costume hire warehouses in LA and makes use of pleating, chiffon and layering. Giles has invited his friend Agyness Deyn to model the collection, partly because she shares his northern sense of humour he says, but mainly, because lets face it, she just is an amazing looking model.

At 36, Giles is an old hand in the fashion industry, having worked for Bottega Veneta and Gucci. See his Giles Deacon fall 08 collection and Daks By Giles Deacon Collection at this link. He designs a line of bags under the Mulberry banner with good friend Stuart Vevers and dresses celebrities such as Thandie Newton and Victoria Beckham.

Giles has wanted to design for a high street store for a while and has struck up a good relationship with New Look, he has worked closely with them and been very ‘hands on designing with the New Look customer in mind’. See it all at www.gilesnewlook.co.uk
