Would you dare go for a jump suit as an alternative to a little black dress this party season?  The thing is they can be tricky, especially if you’re not uber-tall and statuesque like catwalk models and some of the celebs.  We were a little nervous about the whole thing so started doing a little research.

Take a look at the celebs above, we’re not saying who’s got it right and who’s got it wrong but, our opinion is, that keeping it simple and well fitting definately looks better.

We’ve decided to stick to plain colours – top to toe pattern can be a bit of a nightmare!  A little definition at the waist makes a nice, neat shape (a belt can help here), and heels add the necessary height to carry off wide trouser bottoms. Think about fabrics, stretch jersys, satins and tailored styles might be more forgiving than other, more clingy looks.  If you feel a little self conscious with bare arms and shoulders Jennifer Hudson shows how to solve this with a glamorous evening jacket.  After this a longline necklace and simple clutch and you’re good to go.  So which jumpsuit?  After looking around, we felt ASOS had some of the most wearable styles – take a look.
