Trench coats were, once again, out in force, on the catwalks for spring 2010 – the designers giving them a few twists and tweeks. Some were overly long, some were overly short, some had slashed sleeves, some had no sleeves, some had ruched shoulders or feminine frills.
The styles we’ve picked out are pretty traditional – neutral or soft pastels (we love the new lavender/lilac blue used by 3.1 Phillip Lim) and belted. We love Burberry’s gathered shoulders, Dior’s short, nipped waist look and Marc Jacobs sophisticated, traditional style (a little bit of the sexy spy there we think).
So, even though it’s still winter coat weather, we’re looking around for the best highstreet/online trench styles – think their might be some sale bargains to be had too – we’ll keep updating as more spring lines come in. Click the images to go straight to the sites.
