Take a look at these items new in at OASIS – Women’s Fashion Clothing. What do you see? Take another, closer look, do you still see what you thought you saw? Confused? Don’t be. Trompe ‘oeil is french for trick the eye, (a technique used in paintings and murals to create optical illusions – but we don’t need to know that) and the name of an up and coming trend, where basic shape clothes are over printed to make them look like something else.
The Oasis collection above is part of the Oasis Designer Collaboration, which aims to support young, British fashion and textile talent. London Fashion College graduate Rosalind Kemp has designed this witty collection, using soft jersey, oversize tees and racer back vests. We think it’s dead cute, tell us what you think.
We hunted round the web and high street to see who else is taking up the trend and found these tees from Miss Sixty at ASOS The Online Fashion Store and Karen Millen
. They’re really good fun and probably good conversation starters too! Click the images to go straight to the sites.
