Le Lab, New Designers Showcase Project by Brand Alley

BrandAlley.co.uk has launched its Le Lab project which lets designers  showcase their collections to customers, who will vote for their favourite.

The winning designs will go on to be sold through the site, which has eight million subscribers in the UK and France.

Melissa Littler, marketing director for BrandAlley, said: “This is an innovative way to shop within an online community, where it is the customer and not us, who decides what will go on sale.

It consists of a display made up of different QR Codes that go to to Google Map locations linked to the lines theme of the ever-changing landscape of the modern-day traveller

Emma Watson’s – Final Collection for People Tree

Emma can be seen in a black mini dress and calf boots posing alongside a battered old motorcycle, this is her third and final collection for People Tree the fair trade clothing organization who she has been working with since 2009.

“I designed the collection last year after I’d started university in the US,” Watson revealed. “Safia, People Tree’s founder, and Misato, People Tree’s designer, came out to work with me in Rhode Island. Together we decided on all the colours, fabrics, shapes and craft skills. Most of all, we took care to design a really wearable collection that truly celebrates the traditional skills of People Tree’s fair trade groups around the world.”

Google launches Boutiques.com

The people at Google have started to make a move into fashion with the launch of a visual search based site called Boutiques.com.

Everything is split into  mini Boutiques which let you browse through everything ranging from designer clothing to  shoes and accessories.
