Wear 1 Dress for 1 Year – theuniformproject

Category : Accessories, Eco, Trends

Sheena Matheiken has decided to wear one dress for one year as an exercise in sustainable fashion.

Here’s how she plans on carrying it off:-

  • There are 7 identical dresses, one for each day of the week.
  • Every day she will reinvent the dress with layers, accessories and all kinds of accoutrements, the majority of which will be vintage, hand-made, or hand-me-down goodies.

The aim is to showcase a sustainable wardrobe model and raise money for charity.

She takes donations — and gives $1 per outfit of her own money — for the Akanksha Foundation, which helps educate underprivileged children in India.

You can see how she is doing on her site:- theuniformproject
