Sososher – One stop for shopping, socialising, cashback, discounts, freebies, reviews and more

Category : Latest, Offers, Sponsored, Video

Sososher is a shopping site with a difference – it’s also a social networking site with a difference. The name comes from a cheeky mix of the words; Savvy Online Social Shopper. And this is what we’ll be when we sign up, free, for this great looking site. It’s the first site to be a one stop shop for shopping, offers, discounts, cashback, reviews and socialising. Read on to find out more, then check out the video for a quick tutorial in getting started.

First there’s fabulous shopping. Almost 2000 shopping sites in 39 categories. We love the famous names in fashion, beauty and jewellery – but there’s just about everything you could want, including; art, holidays, books, food, music and more. Now here comes the good part, not only is the site crammed with all the latest voucher codes and discounts, you are actually guaranteed to earn cashback on absolutely everything you buy. Why? Simple, Sososher shares their comission with you everytime you link to a shopping site through them!

Next there’s the social side. You can upload your photo and profile (just like on other social networking sites) and chat to other members, which is great. But, again, here comes the difference. Members can also upload video reviews of the products they’ve bought, so that we all have a chance to see what others think before we decide to buy – nice idea!!

We had a brilliant time exploring this site. We love the hot offers section, featuring great discounts and freebies. You can bag yourself some really fantastic deals and bargains – it’s crazy not to take a look. Especially when signing up is free, you have absolutely no obligation to buy anything and you can cancel your membership whenever you feel like it.

Finally, we just want to mention the eating out section. Obvioulsy, once you’ve bought your outfit, your accessories, your cosmetics, earned your cash back – you deserve a night out don’t you? Well, just click here to find massive discount vouchers, 2 for 1 offers and more at loads of famous name, high street, restaurants. Follow the link and take a look, tell us what you think.

Mytights.com helping out London Fashion Week And Our Waistlines

Category : Accessories, Designer, Lingerie, Sponsored, Trends, Women

Designers at London Fashion Week have called on specialist hosiery website mytights.com to cover the long legs of the models on their catwalks. The site certainly has the multitude of styles, shapes and colours to compliment any outfit.  Apparently the stylists have called for lots of lace, backseams and fish nets, as well as matte black and coloured opaques, sparkly tights, ankle & knee high socks and soft woollen tights.

In the past few days we’ve seen Vivien Westwood’s show featuring matte opaques in bright oranges, yellows and reds, alongside knee high woollen socks in cerise pinks. Top Shop Unique’s quirky show had girls strutting up and down in soft, woolly cable numbers for autumn 2010 (remember Alexa Chung in her grey marl tights at Chanel earlier in the year?) So if you want to be ahead of the game right now check out mytights.com’s soft, ribbed wool tights with merino and cashmere – yes woolly tights have come along way, since those school uniform days!!  Shows by Henry Holland and Clements Ribeiro have gone for lighter, patterned, trasparent styles in blacks, greys and pastel shades.  If this is more your style take a look at mytights.com Transparenze range which will take you, right on trend, into spring.

Finally, if you’d like the toned stomach, flat bottom and pulled in waistline of a model(well almost) without spending anytime dieting or pounding the treadmills you need to invest in spanx. These are the wonder invention of Sarah Blakely -  bodyshaping hosiery, which will banish VPL and give you a gorgeously toned, smooth and streamlined look. Sarah originally desgined footless, control hosiery to wear with light coloured trousers, now the range includes slips, pants, tights, body suits – in fact all the styles and colourtones that will give you the confidence to wear any outfit this coming spring and summer. Once you discover mytights.com you will never go onto the highstreet to shop for hosiery again – they have everything your legs desire!

Covert Candy – Go Green As you Update Your Wardrobe For Free

Category : Eco, Men, Sponsored, Women

During January we blogged about the Big Swish events happening all over England – a place to have a drink, meet new friends and trade unwanted clothes for something a little more inspiring.  With over 900,000 tonnes of no longer loved clothes, ending their days in landfill sites in the UK each year, more and more people are becoming interested in clothes swapping.  Not only does it mean we can update our wardrobes for free, it means we can contribute to a more ethical and sustainable form of shopping.

We got to thinking about what you could do if you couldn’t make it to a Big Swish Event and began (as we do) to have a search around the web.  We quickly came across Covert Candy – an online community of British fashion lovers. At Covert Candy you can log on and start swapping (or swishing)  as soon as you like.  It works like this;  first of all, seek out the gear you’re bored with, photograph it and value it in credits (£1= 1credit).  Next log on to Covert Candy – (you can pour yourself a glass of wine and invite round a few friends at this point if you want to emulate the whole social networking side of swishing), upload your photos and wait for takers.  Once someone claims one of your items, you post it off to them and your account is loaded with credits.  At this point you can use your credits to

Gorgeous Clothes for Gorgeous Curves From Elvi

Category : Sales, Sponsored, Trends, Women

Partly, thanks to the work of inspirational fashion journalists and stylists such as Gok Wan and Caryn Franklin, and partly thanks to a new attitude from designers and the media,  it seems that the curves and contours of real women’s figures are finally becoming, not only accepted – but (quite rightly)- celebrated. Our feature on V Magazine’s Curvy Edition showed us that sexy does not have to mean skinny, beauty does not have to mean bony.

Women no longer have to reach for the diet books and pray for the day they can fit into a size 10.  Instead they can head out to the high street and choose clothes that will optimise and accentuate their big and beautiful assets.  Fashion for the fuller figure has come a long way and we wanted to take a look at some of the plus size fashion available online and on the high street.

We’ve begun, this week with Elvi, the Uk’s leading, independent size 16+ fashion retailer.  This company have years of experience providing expertly designed casual and occasionwear for women who look like women.   We love their fun and friendly site with style tips and links to sites that campaign for the ‘curvy community.’

Currently the 70% sale is in full swing, so there ‘s still a chance to pick up a classic like this  beautifully cut  pink reefer jacket or sophisticated little black dress, at a bargain price.  The new spring collection is starting to filter in, the Tuscany, Nautica and Monochrome ranges bring a host of gorgeously smart knits, raincoats, dresses and separates to update any tired weekend or working wardrobe.  We love the drape front cardigans from the Tuscany range, the poppy red tie front cardi and sailor stripe knit from the Nautica range and this fabulous zebra lined mac and textured chilli panda jacket from the Monochrome range.  Take a look and choose your favourites.
