News announced late in the week is that Kisten Dunst is to be the face of the Miu Miu 2008 Spring/Summer Campaign and that Victoria Beckham is to do the same for Marc Jacobs. The Hollywood actress and the newly reunited spice girl have been busy shooting the campaigns in L.A. Kirsten, with Mert and Marcus and Victoria with Juergen Teller. And if you think Victoria is looking a little shy in this photo, it may be because after she agreed to front his campaign, Marc Jacobs then asked her to pose nude (yes, nude) for a charity t-shirt. Apparently it took quite a bit of deliberation, but eventually Victoria agreed, the photos have been shot and a stylish and tasteful picture has been chosen. Previously celebs, including Naomi Campbell, Dita Von Teese and Julianne Moore have posed for Jacobs T-shirts, raising tens of thousands of pounds for skin cancer charities.

Visit Fashion Wire Daily for a good round up on the Banana Republic Spring/Summer Collection and a great selection of images too.
The report tells us that BR has drawn heavily on its safari roots – re-inventing the khaki trench as a sleevless shirt dress or vest, using bold animal prints, military style blouses and jackets and relaxed wide-leg trousers. The collection also featured shocks of colour in silk, floor length gowns.
For men, look out for crinkled cardigans, loose khaki trousers and slim seersucker pants.
By the way the sunnies and bags are great too!!

American fashion designer Marc Jacobs has added Lego into his Spring 2008 line. The world famous plastic construction toy was worn by models as headbands, belt buckles and as brooches.
Maybe this is the start of a new craze in the coming seasons who would have thought Lego as a fashion item.

You can also find some of these items for sale here…

This new site StyleShake aims to bring the art of bespoke fashion to the web, in what creator Iris Ben-David describes as a ‘UGC meets ecommerce’ fashion brand. The site enables UK users to create their own individually-designed dress from an online stable of shapes, colours and fabrics inspired by the latest catwalk trends, which is then tailor-made to their chosen size and delivered to their door in just 10 days.
The founder is also trying to make an eco statement by saying “We are making our best to make sure that our suppliers meet the ethical standard. We take great pride in the fact that we manufacture in London, not Far East sweat shops, and this also reduces our carbon footprint.”
